Lean Hospital Group to present at AORN Congress
Gerard Leone, principal of the Lean Hospital Group, will be at the 59th Annual AORN Congress in New Orleans, Louisiana. The event takes place March 24th-March 29th, 2012, and Gerard will be giving two presentations. The agenda for the first presentation, A Roadmap to the Lean OR, can be seen by clicking here. Quick Changeover Events Hit a Home Run
During the month of September Leonardo Group Americas conducted two 5-day Kaizen events under the sponsorship of AORN, the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses. Quick Changeover has been an AORN focus this year, and the goal of these process improvement projects was to apply the Lean "SMED" system to the OR suite changeover process, with two volunteer hospitals.
